Dank1044 is right about the swim up bar and music though - closes at 6:45 p.m. One big pool had a slide and swim up bar and the other pool had a great rock formation with waterfalls - you could hear it at night! Because it was a quiet resort, they were always accessible - we never had to wait to go in. The pools were fabulous - 2 big ones and 2 whirlpools.
The otherside of our 5th floor condo provided ocean-view. Additionally, very large family room with terrace that overlooked the pool. The decor was mid-90's - oak kitchen, tile floor, one big bedroom with two beds, tv and closet.
Our room was great - apartment style condo. So all you have to do is walk through the foyer at La Cabana and you were out on beauitful Eagle Beach. LaCabana is their sister resort 'right on Eagle Beach' and The Trop sits directly behind it.
Like dank1044 aid, 'it is the perfect place for quiet and relaxing.' The resort was really nice but think of it as a condo. My husband and I just returned from the Trop Aruba and we loved it.
